now we were getting real close. i was stressin, the tour wasnt open to the public. we had a letter approving us for the tour from the web and schedules had to be made 90 days in advance. By the way, BMW, like the japanese, use "on demand" inventory protocols with vendors. Dell has received all the good press about this, but the Japanese pioneered it. Here's the recap: BMW keeps only 4hrs parts stock for building cars, parts are paid for only when they are actually installed , saving space, inventory costs, and working capital.
