::: Thumbs ::: Next >> ::: Kapok Tree-this was another wood used years ago by local fishermen to construct boats. Mahogany and cotton were the main exports in the 1800's. Crop renewal and tree replenishment werent part of the vocabulary back then. The result, land depleted and all the mahogany trees are gone.
