i recall lindsey, only 16, being pretty awed by all this wealth and royalty. she was inquisitive as to how all this happened to one family and not to another. peg's answer is best. she refers to it as "the lucky sperm club". in other words, if u are in, u are in, if u are not, u are not! most brits enjoy their royalty, but there is some resentment by younger brits. after all is said and done, the royal family is on the dole. they receive funds from the government for essentially doing nothing. their behavior is much scrutinized, and they are expected to act regally. well, with the exception of the queen, that just doesnt happen. the queens husband was a royal philanderer, the son prince charles married wrong, and had an affair throughout his marriage to dianna. meanwhile dianna was screwing her butlers, drivers, etc. great fun for the tabloid industry. cant wait till young william and harry grow up. it should be fun to watch.......
