we get directions from a local to drive to edinborough. i tell him i want the scenic route, he points to a road, and with a mouth-full-of-shit brogue, says for me to get on that road and it will take me to edinbourough in about 4 hrs. so we drive it for 4hrs, observed some beautiful scenery, and come over a hill to read a sign that says 'welcome to inverness'. wtf, we had been in a large circle!!!!! we got on a main road, and drove teh 4hrs straight to edinborough. what an ugly american moment!!!
