::: Thumbs ::: Next >> ::: view from top of lynton down on lynmoth. chek this out! the rail there is from a train-car, a unique one at that. the 2 cars, one one each track, are anchored by a ballast, alternately filled at the top with spring water, and emptied at the bottom into the sea. the car at the top, heavy with water pulls itself down the hill, while yoyo-ing the water-empty car at the bottom up the cliff. no motors, nothing hi-tek. it's been operating that way for over 100 yrs.
