2 coffees, 3 croissants? you are looking at around $20 US. this was a preview of ths sticker shock that was coming with paris restaurant food. here was the dilemna, go to paris and scrimp on food, or just do as we pleased at the table? to scrimp is to not experience the city, as food is such a big part of the lure. we came home with no regrets, a good way to come home! when we visited london, scotland, or germany, this wasn't a great problem, since for our pallets the food didn't move the needle at all. as a matter of fact, in london, we ate quite a bit at foreign restaurants at dinner. but believe me, paris is different. i have NEVER had food this good.
