this type of billboard is frowned upon by inner city parisians, and this is the only example i saw. so much stink was raised over this that apple had to agree to give a bunch of money to an environmental cause to leave it there. the lack of visual advertising onslaughts does give paris a lot of it's charm, but economic forces are strong and persistent. hopefully paris will remain the same, but that will only happen if the money is there to support keeping the city intact.
