a bit more on the lore of this place. with no women members, in 2004 martha burk, then with N.O.W. threatened to boycott masters tv sponsors(IBM, Chrysler, Sony.etc.) products unless women were invited as members. normally very effective(see al sharpton, jesse jackson), it didnt quite work in this case. the members simply had the masters that year without sponsors. it kicked the legs out form under the table of the women's demands. all died down the next year, and augusta is a men's only course. as a female player, there are no restrictions. but membership is still male.
