Two new friends without a cameraman.........if i had known the basics of camera lighting, u could see these two ladies. we made their aquantance, just to get some local flavor and background. both taught in public schoold, which in germany are civil service(good). salaries were equivalent to $60k per/yr american. civil service in a socialized economy like germany means good salary and lots of time off. 6 week vacations in summer, 35hr work weeks, it's all good from the standpoint of the worker. overall, it's a big problem for german economy and global competitiveness. german autoworkers make equiv. $44 per/hr u.s. how do they compete with chinese labor, making $3 per/day.?????? so far, they use protectionism, but it's a short term solution. stay tuned......
