no pictures on our factory tour........so..........something that surprised me. after assembly, cars are put on stationary rollers, run for several minutes at 100mph. should dispel myths about 'break in period'. peg just bought a new bmw 330, and the dealer doesnt even want to change original oil until 15k miles. also, the company has figured a way to run the cars electrically WITHOUT wasting gasoline on testing. we found out from our guide that bmw has a 'buy and drive' program. u buy the car u want in the u.s., when it is finished bmw flies 2 people round trip at 1/2 price to munich to pick up the car. u tour europe as long as u want, drop it anywhere in europe and bmw ships your car back to the u.s. oh, in addition, they give a $2500 discount on the price of the car. not bad!
