we're getting a little local history from what looked to be a native. she voulunteered, after many answers to our questions, that she wasnt seminole, but puerto rican. she also said seminoles dont work, and bring white and mexican labor in to do all the work. these seminoles negotiated quite a political coup from our government. they own lots of sugar plantations, cattle ranches, and orange groves. they also have a monopoly on gambling and own hard rock casinos. the yearly profits are divided equally amont the 3000 or so seminoles. yearly take? $125,000 for each man, woman, and child. and dont forget, hombre, no taxes(sovereign nation). how'd they pulll that off? our government broke most of the treaties with indians-remember "white man speak with forked tounge". this is the payback.
