fast forward 2700 miles. i arrived home safe, chose to make time instead of taking pics on the way home. anyway i rode back-to-back Iron Butts(1000 miles in 24 hrs.). the second one was inadvertent, i was so frustrated with bad weather that i chose the peace of night riding and i decided to pull an all-nighter. i rode the last 1600 miles in 28 hrs straight. by riding at night, i avoided the nashville/atlanta nightmares. i had ridden both kansas city and st. louis in rainstorms, and i was about over that shit! i tucked in behind large trucks to let them block deer, and took it on home. i miss my harley, but gotta say this bmw is one smooth ride. except for some numb-butt, it was never an issue on the entire trip.
