::: Thumbs ::: Next >> ::: at one time, there was only rocks, no canyon. story they tell is the colorado river snaked and eroded it's way across this and created this site. the water is full of sediment and is constantly cutting away more rock. also, snow and freezes chip away at rock. the place actually dropped 15 ft down in the 20th century.
