after walking literally a few miles, the plant at least seemed closer. btw, a little know fact. that bmw insignia on top...........the white is an airplane propeller, the blue represents the sky. Some quick facts about BMW factory workers(associates). They work 4x8hrs per/wk. They earn six figures in salary, and get bonuses. Last yr they all got 6 weeks extra pay, after a record yr in sales. They get 6 weeks holiday per/yr. They have a break room with vending machines full of beer and wine. The beer and wine was taken out a few yrs back, and quality suffered. Probably explains the quality problems Peg had with her 2000 BMW!!!!!!!!! The answer, more beer and wine! Mgmt went back to it, and quality returned. All strenuous work is done by robots, the associates pretty much just stand there and assemble parts.
